My schedule has been running a little wild and amok lately but I’ve been praying to God to slow things down a bit. In fact, last night He made it happen. I suddenly found myself at home grilling burgers for myself and enjoying a good quiet time with Him after dinner. I planned to read just 4 chapters of the Bible – a practice a friend taught me to train myself to read The Word on a regular basis. Before I knew it, I read more than 4 chapters and was immersed in His words, filled with encouragement and a beautiful stillness.
The thought of a grilled cheese sandwich with Asiago, Parmesan, Mozzarella and Cheddar still snuck in sometimes, okay? I’m only human. Human frailty is still present but yea I shoved those picturesque desires for crunchy gooey munchies and focused on my real Bread of Life.
Last weekend was on full throttle but I had to squeeze some quality time with my friend Isis last Sunday. I brought her to Blanca de China, which is a newly opened lifestyle spa in San Juan.
I love the almost all white interior (my dream for one space in my house but it’s so hard to maintain) with some quirky and chic décor, and a few frames with thoughtful words.
We both had our feet soaked, pedicured and polished while we did some catch-up. Isis also had threading done for her eyebrows. The pedicure took a full hour w/c was the downside since we were in a hurry to catch a quick lunch too.
We relaxed in the comfortable sofa during the whole time and enjoyed complimentary tea and tea cookies after.
Check out the newest spa / salon and let me know what you think.
